We're now well into the summer and though energy might be running low in this widespread heat, our members have been ever-so productive! Some of our photographers spent time outside, with George Kamper sharing glamorous images captured on the open water, Jay Watson visiting Athlete to capture “The Power of She” together with its female employees, Rick Dahms going off to photograph interesting and inspiring musicians for his on-going series and Marc Morrison showcasing the hard-working fishing community in Villahermosa, Mexico. Meanwhile, other members have continued to create magic inside their studios, with Kent Miller finishing up a colorful footwear shoot for Kelly and Katie and Rick Souders receiving a Lifetime Member Award from ASMP for his fantastic Souders Studios food photography.
 

Our illustrator members haven't exactly been idle either, with Dave Cutler looking into the future through his portrayal of air taxis for Business Daily, Eddie Guy showing the harmful impact that sound pollution has on animals for MIT Technology Review and Davide Bonazzi highlighting the greed and corruption within the FIFA World Cup for Internazionale. Lastly, both Luisa Jung and Mark Smith turned their sights inwards by portraying the allure of self-discovery for Psychologie Heute and the “philosopher king of Palantir”, Alex Karp, for Al Majalla, respectively.
